RAINBOW
I wrote this back in 1989 and it was really just another song of discovering who God was in my life. It's never been one that I sang very often, except for coffeehouses. And even then it was affectionately called "The Dirge" by some. It wasn't until about 2006 that Robin Work really dug deeper and found the soul of the piece. And she continues to share it today. I have one live recording of her singing it. Maybe I'll post that here soon. In the meantime here's a look at the lyrics for you.
RAINBOW - 1989
If you could see the starlight
If you could hold the moon
If you could find, a rainbow in your life, would you?
If you could smell the roses.
If you could taste the mornin' dew
Open up and find, the power of His love inside you.
You'll never know, till you give love a chance
Your heart and soul deserve more than a dance
Maybe you should to give you live, a second glance.
I know who is my starlight.
I know who made the moons
I finally found the rainbow in my life, have you?
I finally know God's the rainbow in my life, do you?
